Informed Consent: Please read “COVID-19 INFORMED CONSENT TO TREAT.” You will be asked to sign a copy prior to your office visit/treatment.
If you have any symptoms such as fever, shortness of breath, dry cough, runny nose, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell, prior to any appointment, even mild symptoms within an hour of it, we will need to reschedule. There will be no charges for last-minute cancellations or missed appointments.
Testing for SARS-CoV-2 is offered at Aurora Medical Center Burlington, 252 McHenry Street, Burlington, WI 53105. For other community-based testing sites for SARS-CoV-2, here are links: https://www.hhs.gov/coronavirus/community-based-testing-sites/index.html and https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/community-testing.htm
Check-In Practices: Each individual will need to wash and/or sanitize their hands prior to a treatment. Since office space is shared with other health care practitioners, it is advised that a mask be worn in the lobby area. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided. Temperature will be checked during intake. Each individual will be questioned about travel and screened for symptoms. (This information will be documented.)
OFFICE SAFETY PRACTICES In order to disinfect all the surfaces, there will be UV lights/lamps in the lobby as well as the treatment room. I have included links about these UV-C sanitizers: https://shopmedisan.com/ and https://uvsanitech.com/. Table face rests will be removed and replaced after each treatment and disposable face rest covers will be utilized. All sheets, as always, will be removed and washed after each treatment. Treatment tables, therapeutic equipment, counter tops, chairs, door handles, etc., will be disinfected following each treatment. Protex, an EPA approved disinfectant which has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) on hard, non-porous surfaces will be used. Eco-friendly products will also be utilized. (Essential oils in such formulas as Young Living Thieves are a pure, therapeutic grade.)There is a waiting area as well as a lobby at Healing Tree.
You may decide to remain in the lobby if there are too many individuals in the waiting area. It may be necessary, however, for you to text or call when you arrive and then wait in your car until you receive a return text or call from me for you to come in.
